Night Skies Network live broadcasts.

Two buddies of mine were broadcasting on the Night Skies Network last week. Two amazing images captured from their live broadcasts. First image was captured from Sean of Long Island. It shows the Montes Apenninus on the Moon. The second capture was from Dave from South Africa and shows M16 the Eagle nebula containing the Pillars of Creation. Both amazing captures.seanmoon2

PERSEIDS METEOR SHOWER.

A big thank you to all who turned up to the observatory to view the Perseids meteor shower. Although the moon was bright, we still saw some spectacular fireballs. There were a lot of happy campers. The Yagi radio telescope detector was a brilliant addition, the Perseids were causing an abundance of “Doppler” pings throughout the shower. Yagi even picked up the International Space Station (ISS) see image.
